Black Wings by Christina Henry is the first book in her thrilling Black Wings series. I quickly grew to like the main character Maddy a lot because despite being an Agent of Death she was very down to earth. I absolutely loved Maddy's relationship with Beezle because even though they had plenty of disagreements they always made up. Beezle was by far my favorite character from Black Wings because really, who doesn't want a short little Gargoyle for a best friend? While the book starts a little slow the pace does pick up quickly and once it does you will be in for one thrill and surprise after another.
